Dropbox is a file hosting service and collaboration platform that primarily provides cloud storage and file synchronization. The service operates by providing special folders linked to Dropbox’s servers and any other devices connected by the user. Since its initial release in 2007, Dropbox has continually maintained its position amongst the global leaders in cloud storage services.
Through a connection with HelloID, your source system’s data provides your organization with the perfect foundation to fully automate provisioning and identity management for Dropbox.
Onboarding, Provisioning, & Ongoing Management
HelloID detects changes whenever HR adds or updates employee information in your source system. Detected changes trigger processes that update users and their access to connected IT resources according to your configurations. Processes are automatic, consistent, and logged—reclaiming significant IT staff bandwidth.
HelloID automatically creates Dropbox accounts and groups based on users’ attributes and role. HelloID processes changes made in your source system to existing users to ensure accounts and access in Dropbox remain up-to-date. When an employee departs, HR changes their status in the source system, and HelloID automatically executes all configured offboarding processes.
By leveraging HelloID’s connections and your employee data, automated provisioning and management for Dropbox have never been as quick or easy.
Outside of standard provisioning, users may access HelloID’s Service Automation module to request access to additional resources from their dashboard. If approved by the configured “Product Owner,” HelloID processes all changes and provisioning needs.
With Service Automation, users may request new Dropbox accounts or access to groups and existing file storage.
