Ellucian Banner is a cloud-based ERP designed for higher education that powers organizations worldwide. Ellucian Banner allows organizations to build and configure employee and student experiences, improve efficiency and productivity, and gain substantial insight into ERP management.
The HelloID (cloud) and NIM (on-premise) to Ellucian Banner connectors allow organizations to implement an automated user provisioning solution. This connection uses the ERP information in Ellucian Banner to provide your organization with the perfect data foundation to fully automate identity management. In addition, our solutions provide an attribute mapper to sync with Ellucian Banner. The attribute mapper’s configuration links identity data from the fields and variables in Ellucian Banner to our account provisioning solutions.
Onboarding, Provisioning, & Ongoing Management
HR remains responsible for adding and updating information in Ellucian Banner. Our solutions identify changes in Ellucian Banner via the HelloID or NIM connectors. Detected changes trigger processes that update users and their access to connected IT resources (e.g., accounts and group memberships) according to your configurations. Processes are automatic, consistent, and logged—reclaiming significant IT staff bandwidth.
When new users are entered into Ellucian Banner, HelloID and NIM automatically provision accounts, group memberships, and permissions. In addition, our solutions process changes made to existing users in the HR system to ensure everything remains up-to-date. Finally, to guarantee a quick offboarding process, our solutions detect when HR changes an employee status in Ellucian Banner and automatically execute all configured offboarding processes.
By leveraging Ellucian Banner data for every employee and student, automated role-based access control (RBAC) has never been as quick or easy.
Service Automation for User Self-Service
Outside of standard provisioning configurations, users may access HelloID’s Service Automation module to request access to additional resources from their dashboard. This allows the “Product Owner” to approve or deny a request quickly.
