Blackboard is a leading EdTech company dedicated to advancing learning through technology. Blackboard’s learning management systems (LMS) have been developed to support teachers and students through all their course management needs. Prioritizing digital learning, Blackboard delivers an engaging, personalized platform for users that supports in-class and remote learning.
Your school district can connect students and staff directly into Blackboard and achieve automated identity management through a connection with our automated user provisioning solutions, HelloID (cloud) and NIM (on-premise). Our solutions provide an attribute mapper to sync with your source system data (e.g., SIS). The attribute mapper’s configuration links the source system’s fields and variables to HelloID and NIM, which then uses those attributes to provision resources and keep them up-to-date.
Onboarding, Provisioning, & Ongoing Management
Our solutions detect changes in your source system via connectors. Detected changes trigger processes that update users and their access to Blackboard according to your configurations. Processes are automatic, consistent, and logged—reclaiming significant IT staff bandwidth.
HelloID and NIM automatically provision Blackboard accounts, group memberships, class assignments, permissions, and more for new students and staff. Our solutions process changes made to existing users to ensure everything remains up-to-date. When changes in your SIS indicate that a student or staff member has departed the district, our solutions swiftly deactivate Blackboard accounts and revoke access.
With connecting Blackboard to our solutions, automated attribute-based access control has never been as quick or easy.
