Tools4ever is recertified for ISO 27001
Baarn, January 18, 2023: Tools4ever proudly accepts its new ISO 27001 certification. The Identity Governance & Administration specialist was awarded the certification following an audit by Brand Compliance.
ISO 27001 is the global standard for information security. The standard describes how organizations can approach securing information in a structured, process-driven way. The standard includes requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving a documented Information Security Management System (ISMS).
An ISO 27001 certificate issued by an independent party provides customers with strong assurance. The certification shows that information security at Tools4ever is in order and meets all requirements. This is important because in many cases Tools4ever’s solutions play a central role in customers’ IT architecture.
Added value for customers
Ron Kuper, Managing Business Consultant at Tools4ever: “As a software company, we process customer data, which is often sensitive information. We want to handle this data properly, and we want to demonstrate that to customers. We do that with ISO 27001 certification.”
Nothing changes for customers. Kuper: “A customer wants their processes to run smoothly and to simply be able to process data without having to worry about it. This requires various technical steps behind the scenes, including in the area of security. ISO 27001 certification shows that we have our information security in order and provides customers with assurance.”
ISO 27001 certification has a dual meaning for Tools4ever. “On one hand, we assess ourselves: are we doing the right things and working securely with both customer data and our own information? On the other hand, we deliver software that helps customers get their own ISO 27001, NEN 7510, or other certification in order. The assurance that ISO 27001 certification provides therefore also carries through to the software we deliver to customers,” Kuper concludes.
OpenID Certified and ethical hackers
Tools4ever not only holds ISO 27001 certification but is also OpenID Certified. This certification provides users with assurances regarding the quality and interoperability of the HelloID OpenID Connect implementation. In addition, Deloitte experts review the HelloID service twice per year. Ethical hackers from the consultancy firm scrutinize the HelloID Identity & Access Management (IAM) solution and attempt to break in. In doing so, they identify any security vulnerabilities without creating risks for customers. This elevates Tools4ever’s digital security to an even higher level.
