What is Salto Space
Salto Space is a fully integrated, intelligent access control platform developed by Salto Systems. The platform is standalone and web-based, and includes management software for securely and efficiently managing access to doors within a facility. The system is designed for wireless environments, eliminating the need to cable access points in a building and allowing it to be applied to existing doors and locks. Salto Space also supports wired locks. Users can open doors using a smartphone, PIN code, or smart keycard.
Why is a Salto Space Integration Useful?
When thinking about enabling optimal productivity, you might first consider providing the right access to software, databases, and cloud applications and systems. However, physical access to the office or the spaces where an employee works is equally important: if an employee cannot enter the building, they cannot work. Salto Space manages this access through a web-based system. How HelloID Integrates with Salto Space
Salto Space can be integrated with HelloID as a target system. The Salto Space connector is deployed as a target connector and supports the management of user accounts and the associated access groups. Access groups enable you to manage the access rights of a group of users at once.
Data exchange between HelloID and Salto Space occurs via a staging SQL table; actions cannot be executed directly in the Salto Space database. HelloID places all actions in the staging table, which Salto Space reads periodically. This process requires a correct configuration of Salto Space. Based on an employee's personnel number, Salto Space can correlate an existing Salto Space account.

Automatically creating and updating the required account
When a new employee joins, HelloID automatically creates an account in Salto Space. Employees can start working immediately. If an employee's data changes in your source system, HelloID automatically updates the account. Based on source data, HelloID also updates this information in the IAM solution's lifecycle.
Assigning or revoking Salto Space (limited) access groups
Based on source data, HelloID can assign a user to a (limited) access group or revoke that membership. This ensures access rights are always up to date.
