Nedap AEOS
The Nedap AEOS Target Connector connects Nedap AEOS to the source systems you use through the HelloID Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution from Tools4ever. The integration with the web-based access control application elevates the physical security of your premises and assets. The integration ensures, among other things, that new employees are automatically assigned the correct access rights and can always enter the spaces they are authorized to access. What is Nedap AEOS?
Nedap AEOS not only ensures that the right people have access to the right doors and spaces, but also enables targeted monitoring. The platform provides real-time information about the security situation and triggers alerts, for example, when a door remains open too long or when technical issues are detected. You decide how to respond to such alerts, whether automatically or manually. You can define instructions in advance that determine how a specific alert should be handled, ensuring all AEOS users follow the same policy consistently.
Why is a Nedap AEOS Integration Useful?
To perform their work effectively, employees need access to the right spaces. When a new employee joins, you want to arrange this access as quickly as possible so the new employee can be productive from day one. At the same time, you want to ensure that offboarded employees no longer have access to spaces and that their access rights are revoked in a timely manner. The integration between your source systems and Nedap AEOS through HelloID handles this process automatically.

How HelloID Integrates with Nedap AEOS
Nedap AEOS connects to HelloID as a target system. The IAM solution communicates with the Nedap AEOS SOAP API, through which HelloID can create user accounts, update data, and assign users to the correct access template. This allows the solution to quickly and efficiently configure the correct access rights for a new user. If needed, HelloID can also remove an account from an access template. Access template management is handled through business rules. Through the API, HelloID can also provide visibility into which access badges have been assigned to a specific user.
Note: The Nedap AEOS Target Connector only supports removing a badge when an account is deactivated. Assigning badges through the connector is not currently supported. Account deletion is handled through Nedap AEOS, which includes built-in capabilities for automating this process.
Automatically creating and updating the required account
When a new employee joins, HelloID automatically creates an employee record in Nedap AEOS. If the employee's data changes, the solution automatically updates the account as needed. Based on source data, the IAM solution also updates this information in the HelloID lifecycle.
Assigning or revoking Nedap AEOS access templates
Based on your source data, HelloID can link a Nedap AEOS access template to an employee or revoke it if needed.
A user in Nedap AEOS has a number of standard fields. The connector populates these fields using data from your source system. Exceptions to these standard fields are not supported by the Nedap AEOS Target Connector.
