Password Migration Step 3 of 4

To provide the wizard with enough information to start copying the passwords, you have to specify the password copy options.

  1. Copy all passwords from the source accounts to the matching target accounts. This option means that all passwords are copied from the source user accounts to the target user accounts with exactly the same username. If you didn't modify the username in the migration process, then you should select this option.

  2. Copy all passwords from the source accounts to the matching target accounts with a prefix. This option specifies that all passwords will be copied from the source user accounts to the target user accounts with a prefix applied to the username. In you have applied a prefix to the target user accounts using the Active Directory Migration Tool, you have to specify the same prefix.

  3. Copy all passwords from the source accounts to the matching target accounts with a suffix. This option specifies that all passwords will be copied from the source user accounts to the target user accounts with a suffix applied to the username. In you have applied a suffix to the Windows 2000 user accounts using the Active Directory Migration Tool, you have to specify the same suffix.
