Forms & Delegation |
| User Management Resource Administrator now contains the Forms & Delegation
module. This new module allows for manual, user interaction input in addition
to the already available CSV input. Using forms, you can carefully craft
the graphical user interface for a non-administrative helpdesk user and specify
the administrative tasks assigned to that person. By default, this module
is available in 30-day trial mode when not licensed. Unlocking this module
is done by adding a seperate Forms & Delegation license. Learn

Core engine |
We have made a substantial improvement to the core engine and the available
script actions. These actions are available in all modules of User Management
Resource Administrator, in both mass-create-update-delete projects using
CSV input, and form projects using manual user input. The new actions available
are:
- Create contact (AD): creates contact accounts in addition to user accounts
in the Active Directory.
- Edit user logon: script action to manage the user
account settings and logon configuration such as unlock, disable, reset
password and more. This action is available for Active Directory and
Windows NT4.
- Modify Exchange mailbox permissions (2000/2003): enables configuration
of Exchange mailbox permissions for Exchange 2000 and 2003. Also allows
assigning rights to external user accounts.
- Manage Exchange recipient mail addresses (2000/2003): enables configuration
of Exchange mail recipient addresses and send-receive mail restriction
settings.
- Dial-in user settings: allows configuration of user dial-in settings
(callback, allow access) without having to set individual attributes.
This action is available for Active Directory and Windows NT4.
- Set user attribute (AD): can now set attributes for objects other than
user accounts. Using the %ActiveDirectoryObject%, you can pass any AD
object such as contacts or groups to this action.
- Set group memberships (AD): allows assignment of group memberships
to generic Active Directory objects such as contacts and other groups.
This action is very useful to create group nesting.
- Create group (AD): creates groups (distribution, security, global,
local and universal).
- Get object (AD): enables getting all available Active Directory objects
such as contacts, users, groups and exports into %ActiveDirectoryObject%
variables for use with other script actions. Combine this action with
Set user attribute (AD) action to set attributes on contact and group
objects.
- Create share: creates a share on an existing directory with configurable
share permissions and connection limits.
- Convert to multi-value variable: converts a multi-value input string
to a multi-value variable. When using CSV input with multi-value columns
(such as the default Active Directory CSV export does when exporting
group memberships for user accounts), this action converts the input
string to a multi-value attribute array for further use in script actions
such as Set group memberships (AD).
- Manage multi-text value variable: allows for deletion and sorting of
multi-value variable entries.

Base module |
| Based on customer feedback, we improved the functionality of the base module
and made small changes to the program to support the new Forms & Delegation
module. The main new feature is local and server projects. Since the Forms
& Delegation module requires at least one running User Management Resource
Administrator delegation service (installation and removal is performed within
the application), the Base module has been adapted to support project storage
on a service which has been labelled "server projects". To support this change,
the Name Generation Algorithms are now embedded in projects, to configure
the behavior of these algoritms, the menu option Tools -> Options
-> Advanced must now be used. |
