Forms & Delegation Tour - Step 1/6Install the UMRA Delegation service on your local computerWelcome to the User Management Resource Administrator Forms & Delegation product tour. This tour will guide you through the process of configuring a sample forms project to match your environment, publish it on the delegation service and run it in the Windows Forms client. The first step is to install a Delegation service on your local computer. This service will be used for project storage, execution and delegated user authentication. When finished, a Windows Forms client can connect to this service using normal user priviliges, but through the delegation service it can execute tasks that would require administrative priviliges. Read more about the architecture. Continue to step 2 >> The above screenshot shows the User Management Resource Administrator application started on the Windows desktop. Right-click on the Server projects branch in the Projects bar, and select "Setup UMRA service...". ![]() Click Next to install a new delegation service. ![]() Use the "Use local computer" button to automatically specify your local computer in the "Server name:" field. Click Next to continue. ![]() Click Next to confirm the current TCP/IP port suggestion. The Forms client is pre-set to connect to this port. ![]() Click Next to confirm the current folder suggestion. This folder will be used for all files and projects related to the UMRA delegation service. The path will be local to the computer you selected in the 2nd step of this service installation wizard. ![]() Click Next to confirm the service user account suggestion. The service installation wizard automatically resolves the domain where your computer resides and suggests a name for a new user account. ![]() Click Finish to confirm the service account group membership suggestion. The UMRA delegation service requires administrative priviliges in the domain to successfully manage the Active Directory and all associated resources such as Exchange mailboxes, home directories and more. After this step, the service will be installed and started. The service installation is now complete. As you can see, the service has been installed on a computer called "ORION". The computer icon is blue, which means the service on this computer is running and is ready for project storage and execution.
