Resetting the administrator password on all workstations in the network
A good common security practice is to automatically reset the passwords of all local administrator accounts on PCs in your Active Directory domain every month. Coding complicated ADSI scripts is not the most efficient way to address this requirement.
Solution – UMRA
UMRA gives you the ability to automatically reset passwords of local accounts on computers, without requiring scripting knowledge. You can have UMRA reset passwords on all workstations that are part of your Active Directory domain on a scheduled basis.
- Perform Active Directory operations on a single domain controller
- Automatic and secure reporting
- Optional and flexible scheduling; job runs as a service
- Automatically resolves workstations from Active Directory
