User Management Delegation: Easily Delegate Users in Active Directory
Using the powerful User Management Delegation module from the User Management Resource Administrator suite, network administrators
can delegate specific tasks to helpdesk staff or other non-admins without giving them administrative privileges. This allows for
the re-appropriation of IT resources.
The Forms and Delegation module eliminates the need to develop manual procedures for delegating tasks to the helpdesk, it also
removes the need for both MMC snap-ins and scripts. Using the forms client, the user is authenticated and based on the permissions
set by the network administrator is allowed to make certain Active Directory changes, either en masse to multiple end user accounts,
or on a one-off basis.
With the Forms & Delegation Module you will be able to:
Create Efficiencies: save time by delegating user management and Active Directory tasks to your helpdesk
staff and other non-admins. Provides enhanced database logging for auditing and reporting purposes: Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, etc.
Increase Security: the module uses windows authentication to verify delegated user prior to allowing changes
Customize User Interface: create custom forms (application or web based) for specific tasks, the delegated
helpdesk user will see only what the network administrator has allowed
Control Username and Password Generation: the module allows delegated users to create usernames based on specific
algorithms which prevent duplicates, it also allows for password generation according to company security standards
See an Immediate Return on Investment: direct savings – increases in efficiency, service level and
re-allocation of basic Active Directory tasks. Indirect savings – better utilization of helpdesk staff skills and abilities and elimination
of duplicate work.
