- New interface – The main interface has been drastically improved. The key project concept of UMRA has always been the creation of an UMRA project script using input data from various sources ((CSV) files, databases, other applications). The main interface has been reworked to support this concept more strongly.
- Managing LDAP directory services – UMRA's powerful collection of script actions to manage directory services such Novell eDirectory, Linux OpenLDAP and Microsoft's Active Directory has been enhanced with the possibility of moving directory service objects.
- Improved project management control – In UMRA version 7.5, projects are now organized in workspaces to improve control over (more) complex solutions which often involve the creation of multiple projects.
- Increased efficiency – no need for time consuming and error sensitive script maintenance or excessive manual configurations.
- Improved data integrity by centralizing and automating Active Directory administration.
- Reduced cost for network and systems administration by automating complex user management tasks and delegating repetitive tasks to the helpdesk in a controlled fashion (e.g. resetting a password).
- Short learning curve – creating scripts is a matter of dragging and dropping script actions. Many common administrator tasks (resetting passwords, moving mailboxes, creating home folders, etc.) can be constructed in less than an hour.
- Flexible architecture – UMRA automation functionality can be invoked from any application supporting COM objects (SQL Server, IIS, Access, etc.).
