Data collection – central storage |
| For data collection purposes, MonitorMagic can use Access, SQL Server and any other ODBC compliant database to store its data. You can connect multiple MonitorMagic agents to the same database running on a remote computer. MonitorMagic can also connect to existing databases and update its contents according to the latest version. |

Customizable report profiles |
| Just like monitor policies, you can store all reporting data collection settings in a report profile. This profile will instruct a MonitorMagic agent to start collection data according to that profile. The screenshot below shows a report profile maintained by the MonitorMagic agent running on computer ORION, and it will collect the application logs from computers GRAPE, LEMON, MARS and ORION at 2:30 each day. |

Scheduling |
| Have MonitorMagic run at night, browse all servers in your network and collect vital event, performance and security information. MonitorMagic's customizable scheduling support ensures easy configuration and managability. |

Multiple computers |
| The MonitorMagic report data collectors can access all remote computer available throughout the network. This information is stored in each report profile, which is hosted by a MonitorMagic agent. This agent will then visit all configured computers and collect the data. When collecting data from each computer, MonitorMagic will NOT install an agent on the target computer. |

Data Caching |
| To ensure optimal report data integrity, MonitorMagic features reliable database connection routines which will cache status information data in case of database or network failure. All collected data will be stored in local data files first and when complete, MonitorMagic will try to setup a connection to the database to store the contents of these files. |

Pre-defined reports |
| MonitorMagic comes with 10 pre-defined reports, containing performance characteristics over a set period of time. These reports contain all textual and graphical elements, as well as all the keywords and SQL queries. All reports can be modified and copied freely. |

Advanced SQL Queries |
| Each MonitorMagic report can contain a table with SQL information queried from the database. You can use any custom SQL query including keywords defined in each report. These keywords can also contain SQL queries, so you can build cascading queries, dependent on each other. Our pre-defined reports are all based on this principle and are available for editing and modification. |

Built-in printing |
| Print high-resolution reports with integrated graphics and fully customized layout schemes. No additional software or special printer drivers need to be installed. MonitorMagic will automatically print on the standard available Windows printers using the highest possible resolution supported by the printer. |

Built-in HTML export |
| For portability, MonitorMagic can convert your reports into the industry standard HTML format. When converting a report to HTML, MonitorMagic will write the contents comparable to Internet Explorer, e.g. HTML file in a root directory and all graphic files in its own subdirectory. Built-in report template editor |
| MonitorMagic uses templates to generate reports. Templates allow you to easily add new text or titles and include your company logo's into printed reports. All SQL queries are also contained within each template. |

Built-in report generation |
| MonitorMagic can generate its own reports in real-time. There is no need for additional software such as Crystal Reports. However, you can integrate your reports with Crystal Reports if desired, since all templates are completely open for modification, including all custom SQL queries. |
